An interior designer whose clientele after integrated rich and well known Kentuckians was sentenced to 21 months in prison Thursday for thieving over $285,000 from an aged widow with dementia and Alzheimer’s disorder.

Wayne Jenkins, 66, questioned by means of counsel for probation or to do his time on house detention, citing a critical professional medical issue that was not disclosed in court docket.

But U.S. District Choose David Hale reported all those would not be “just punishment.”

“The fraud in this scenario cannot be minimized,” he stated. “It performed out about many years against a susceptible victim.”

Jenkins, who will be authorized to report to jail later, chose not to deal with the courtroom.
